Nearly every country in the world was involved in the Cold War. However, the war is mainly remembered as a period of clashes, proxy wars, and race for technology & arms between the United States of American and the Union of the Soviet Socialist Republic. The leaders of both the USA and the USSR were all involved in the war. Nearly all the leaders of the nations involved some time during the Cold War are involved. Mao Zedong (PRC), Kim Il Song (N. Korea), Fidel Castro (Cuba), Abdul Gamal Naseer (Egypt), Ho Chi Minh (N. Vietnam), Sukarno (Indonesia), Ayatollah Khomeini (Iran), and Augusto Pinochet (Chile) are examples of some Cold War leaders outside of the US and the USSR.
