It is difficult to differentiate who was worst either Hitler or Stalin because they both brought curse and disaster to the world in the form of bloodshed to accomplish their ambitious designs.
Adolf Hitler, when became chancellor of Germany announced that he will attack to regain the areas which Germans lost as a result of Treaty of Versailles. He disregarded the world peace and tranquillity. His priority was to built a vast German Empire. Even in Germany ,no body dare to oppose Hitler and his motives.T his ambition caused the Second World War in 1939. The ill-effects of war was not only experienced by those regions which were attacked by German forces, but Germany too had to suffer a lot just because of one man's crazy ambitions.Similarly ,Joseph Stalin in 1924 succeeded Lenin. He with his policies, kept Soviet Union cut off from the international community. This strict control was described by British Prime Minister Sir Winston Churchill as "Iron-curtain" between the west and the Soviets.Stalin in Soviet Union set out a policy of censorship and his opponents had to suffer at the hands of secret forces of KGB.He brought Soviet Union into a period of Industrialization and a large amount of budget was served to built weapons and ammunition and neglected other fields. This negligence proved fatal later on, after some years of his death ,when Soviet Union had to face crisis like wheat-crisis.Hitler and Salin both persecuted the people and were reported of committing Genocide.

The civilized world has had more than its fair share of war. However, history bears witness that no matter what the effect of each destructive war, it only paved the way for another. The whole cycle of 'cause and effect' goes on indefinitely, with every cause leading to an effect and vice versa. The different nations of the world have had their phases of internal and external strife. The resultant revolutions and governments have shaped up into the world we know today.

During World War I, the blind implications of the nations on both, the Allied and Central powers resulted in the rise of the ugly head of dictatorship. This was the reaction of the masses towards the discontent and financial depression that had gripped most countries in the world. While Germany vested her faith in Adolf Hitler, Russia was led by Josef Stalin.

Both the dictators were empowered with the vision of watching the nations in their command take over the Allies. Both, Hitler and Stalin, initially, worked very hard and showed a lot of interest in helping the German and Russian economies scale towards progress and subsequently, increase employment. Thereafter, both the dictators were led by personal ambition and took on the task of territorial expansion and hidden alliances. However, it cannot be denied that Stalin, later, joined the Allies, USA, Britain and France to contain the Axis Powers. Adolf Hitler met with a very disastrous end.
