What Country Won The Most Wars?

Before I start I want to point out I don’t support war and I am answering purely for history purposes.

I'm not sure what is funnier, the fact that people believe USA has won more wars than any other country or the fact that people believe USA has never LOST a war!

Most wars won:

1. Great Britain - en.wikipedia.org
2. France - en.wikipedia.org
USA is way down towards the bottom (One because USA is only about 200 years old and has not fought in many wars.  Two because USA is one of the worst countries at fighting wars...

Ok so you're American and you don't want to admit you lost the Vietnam and Korean War (if you invade somewhere and you leave because it's a stalemate or you can't win, that in my eyes is a lost battle)

“You beat the brits 2 times by using farmers”? Are you referring to the American Revolution and the war of 1812?  Britain backed out (I guess as they backed out like America did in Vietnam Britain can say they didn't lose?)

Why should Britain have won?

1. Britain had the biggest Army in the world (not anymore)
2. Britain had the biggest Navy in the world (not anymore)
3. Britain had the best weapons and ships in the world (not anymore)
4. Britain had the most money (not anymore)
5. Britain were better trained
6. Britain had 1,000's of years of war experience

Why did Britain "lose?"

1. It was taking 3 months to get supplies by boat across the Atlantic.
2. Britain was fighting 4 different wars at the same time which was stretching their massive army and navy.
3. Spain, Netherlands and France helped America.

In fact before France stepped in America was 95% defeated by Britain as they had defeated almost every one of America’s armies.

Nowadays America doesn't like to enter a war without Britain.  So America is unlikely to move up the list of most wars won by a country (as it doesn't count if Britain is holding your hand).

The USA never won The War of Independence, as there was no USA at the time...they were British subjects, so it was a civil war on foreign soil. 

Britain and Canada overwhelmingly won the War of 1812.  We completed every military objective.  We forced the US military out of Canada, burned the White House, pushed the US Army across America and even AFTER the war, we still continued pressing American sailors into service and blockading American harbours...that was what America was trying to stop in the first place.

England/Britain have won the most wars they have been having wars non stop (nearly non stop) for the past 1000 years and France would be second and USA would be at the bottom of the list because there history only goes back about 200 years and they have only had a few wars and they haven't won them all.

Shut up you moran. Britain and France have both won the most wars in history. Remember, all yanks are british cousins and only have history from 1776.

Great Britain won the most wars as it had the most experience. USA was like lambs to the slaughter.

As regard to the country that won the most wars it is a close one between France and the UK. America is nowhere near the top as they are too young a nation and have poor records unlike the propaganda likes to paint it...

The UK,, Scotland and England alone waring with each other through time probally makes up for a good number of all the wars ever fought, the UK has been a real war machine for several thousands of years and I don't expect the trend to stop

I can tell you how: By the US retreating before reaching any of their goals. War is not Call of Duty, "kill them" is not an objective

If it wasn't for America in World War 2, all you Brits would be speaking German right now.  You Brits really think you would have won ww2 with out the new great superpower America!    We held your hands and protected you from the Soviets.  You island is about the size of Rhode Island.  Please now!

Never in the field of human history have so many people misunderstood so much, understood so little and written with so little authority.

Well if you want to look at it like that, then you lost 2 times against the Brits, as in both wars the British won every battle!!
