For being crowned Pharaoh (king) very young (13) and dying very young also (18). And because his tomb is the only one ever found in perfect shape, without being robbed by ancient thieves.

King Tut was a very poorly known pharaoh until Howard Carter discovered his tomb. It has not been hit by tomb robbers and was therefore stashed with gold. That is why he is very well known.

Because his tomb was well hidden, it was found almost the way it was left at the 19-year-old king's burial, not looted and destroyed by grave robbers like so many others. When it was discovered in 1922 by Howard Carter's party, it was by far the best preserved and most intact Pharaoh's tomb ever found in the Valley of the Kings. It was also one of the last found and therefore of great interest to twentieth-century media.

King Tut is King Tutankhamen .
He was a young King, a boy king also known as pharaoh.
King Tut was nine years old when he became pharaoh and reigned for approximately ten years.
His tomb was so well hidden it had not been robbed of its treasures when it was discovered. It was the most complete Ancient Egyptian tomb ever found.
