Role of youth in politics and society is to educate themselves first and be a better citizens. Youths getting involve in politics is not a healthy attitude unless they want to make it their career. I have seen people destroying their lives for politics and society, and getting nothing in return.

Youth can definitely provide a new dimension to the existing society. Today's youth believes in a mor practical outlook than the one's who are currently running the society. Its not that, that I m against the current key holder's but I can definitely assure that it could be just BETTER! Anti corruption is the main motto of today's youth. A neat and clean play can work wonder's for society's and countries progress. Wether it be economically or politically, young leaders like rahul gandhi can change the entire scenario with fair means... :)

They have a great participation in politics especially in choosing the right person for the position that will make a change in the nation. Youth must not ignore the event of voting because it the only way we can help for the better living for the next generation.

Youth are back bone to the nation. They can change the future of the society with their well being and courageous behavior. They are here to show us that which we have not been willing to look at within ourselves.Unfortunately today we find the youth those who are more interested in other places witch are not useful to them as well as nation. They chooses to spend their days doing drugs and playing video games. They spends their nights partying and living it up, so to speak.More and more young men of this age group are sitting at home in front of their televisions playing games all day instead of bettering themselves or going to work. They have no vision and if they do have dreams they do not have the drive to make any attempt at achieving them.
Though many youngsters are contributing to their respective nations in different ways, there are some disturbing incidents in the recent past in Parades Parades which involve youth. In places like Vijayawada, Warangal, Ongole, and Anantapur, some engineering students went on a rampage. They attacked girls with acids, knives and other lethal weapons as those girls did not respond favourably for their love and marriage proposals.
In warangal the police encountered the guys and killed them. The developments in internet facilities, excessive violence in movies, the increase in the number of television channels from abroad and India, developments in communication technology and easy availability of weapons, etc are some of the most important reasons for such a violent attitude among the youth. Adding fuel to the problem, there has been a decrease in the vigilance by parents on their children's activities.
Lack of education among the parents, the quarrels among them, lack of awareness about the importance of discipline in life, economic factors, cultural and social factors are some other reasons for poor character levels among some youth. For instance due to poverty some youth dropout from the educational institutes and involve in anti social activities including theft

The youth of the nation had no role in Politics until recently. The candidates learned how to articulate their words so it can affect us. Previous years with differents candidates spoke mainly to the adult population, not because they didn't care about the youth, it was because the number of voters shown in earlier polls showed that youth were barely partaking in Politics. For my generation (19-22), the candidates are new faces with new promises, since we never really paid close attention to the Clinton or Bush years. The youth want to change the world, and the candidates are speaking the language of possibly. When young people get involved they tend to stay involved in something, especially if we know we are at the root of change. As a first time voter in the upcoming election I've realized that our "Bush experience" has given us an unjusitied war, a slipping economy, the dollar losing it's value, and health care impossible to afford. Just like myself, the youth all over the nation are beginning to realized they are the future, and if they don't want the present to become the future then we need to start not just making changes, but demanding them.

Working or volunteering to work on campaigns for candidates running for office, or party nomination. Could be going door to door, phone called, handing out fliers or brochures in public places.

Some may run for office in the local area. Some may run for a delegate position at the state or national party convention. Some may organize other like minded youths to petition at the convention to include their issues, support their position on youth issues.
