How To Keep Cake Fresh For Birthday Party?

If your using a fondant,and covering the whole cake you can leave the cake out for a couple of days,just cover it with a tea towel or if you have a container just leave it in there.
If you are just going to cover the top,I would put it in the fridge for a couple of days.
