The main difference is that Pakistan is a Muslim country like other's pointed out and India is a secular country with a majority Hindu population. Although there are no major differences it is said that Pakistan has a lot of Persian, Arabic influence mixed with the Indian ancestry.

The language script of Urdu is different to that of India's script. Plus since Pakistan is north west of India and closer to the Middle East than India, people there are generally more fair skinned. Not all, most tribes that originated from India resemble Indians a lot. But Punjabis from central and northern Punjab, the Kashmiris, Balochis and the Pakhtuns are more fair skinned.

Plus, not many people in India speak Pashto or Persian, or Balochi for that matter.

However, we were all once the same country and these are the only differences pretty much, at least from what I've seen.

India is not a Hindu country it is a secular country with a majority Hindu population; this is a huge difference.  India is home to over 154 million Muslims which is comparable to the Muslim population is Pakistan.  Also, Hindi is a language not a religion.  The difference between the populations are regional, a variety of different ethnic groups make up the region. Religion, language, food also vary but this would be true even if Pakistan was still apart of India.  Within India itself there are many cultural differences as you move from one province to the next.  Pakistan was created in 1947 so it is a relatively young nation, in my opinion it was created due to colonial (British) interference and meddling in political matters and was a huge mistake.

Pakistan was a part of India and was created in 1947 during the partition... Pakistan is a predominantly Muslim country whereas India is a secular country where majority of the population is Hindu. As Pakistan was created from India the culture and all resembles North India. The major language in Pakistan is Urdu, whereas in India it is Hindi (although there are like almost 20 other national languages.)

Pakistan and India are two different countries. Yes Pakistan was part of India but the large part of Pakistan was never part of India. Pakistan has different ethnic groups such as Pashtuns, Balochs, Hazara...
Sindhi's and Punjabi's are linguistically similar to Indian Punjabi's and Sindhis. But racially not all but most of them are different.. Pakistani Punjabis belong to different ethnic background such as There are Punjabis of Kashmiri origin, Punjabis of Afghan(pashtun) origin, Punjabis of Baloch origin and then there are some who belong to the same family background as Indian Punjabis.. Same thing goes for the sindhis.. About half of pakistani sindhis are of Baloch origin.

Pakistani Pashtuns and Baloch belong to Greater Afghanistan and Iran region.
There are more than double of Pashtuns in Pakistan than they are in Afghanistan. Pashtuns are also the largest ethnic group of Afghanistan.

Pakistanis follows different culture and it depends on what area of Pakistan they are from. All Pakistanis speak different native languages. Overall Pakistan has the mix of all these cultures (Middle-Eastern, Central Asians and Indian).

Pakistani lifestyle is completley different than Indians. The major factor is the religion.. Indians are hindus and pakistanis are muslims. So Indians live a hindu custom lifestyle while Pakistani lives a muslim custom lifestyle.

It is difficult to distinguish between a North Indian (north of Delhi) and a Pakistani by looks. But the rest of the Indians look very different from the Pakistanis and from one another as well.

Culturally (social expectations, behaviour, family values etc.) both are somewhat similar although parochial laws (esp. Marriage arrangements, divorce, widowhood etc.) sometimes (in some places) override social norms/constitutional law in both Pakistan and India.

When in countries outside Pakistan and India, Pakistanis often run "Indian restaurants" because there is a lot of similarity to Punjabi food. Pakistanis do not eat pork but eat beef. Most Indians eat neither beef nor pork. Vegetarianism is widely prevalent in India while it is practically  non-existent in Pakistan.

They are not the same... Ok so some of them obviously will look similar because the countries are next to each other, however a lot of pakistanis are completely different to indians, so the pashtuns are more like afghans, and the baloch people are like iranians, and the kashmirirs are also different, so punjabis are kind of similar I would say to sikh punjabi indians but they are not similar to gujrati hindu indians... Completely different languages, cultures, religion, food... Also pakistani food has a lot more SPICE ... ! :P

India is a secular and progressive state while theocracy is going to gulp Pakistan having based its identity and constitute on Islam. Being a Pakistani I respect India more to be a secular state!

They are quite different and distinct from each other, though have some commons because, geographically adjacent to each other but differences are much stronger.
Major differences are in
Religion,
Language,
Food,
Music,
Race.
Search in Wikipedia "History or Pakistan" and it will be clear that for most part the time, they have remained different and distinct.

There are lot of differences between cultures of Pakistan and India. In
spite of all these difference, there are some common customs also. The
main differences are religious beliefs which differentiate the way of
life of both nations. They worship different gods. Muslims blow people
up and indians are peaceful. It is not similar  in anyway.

To sum up this question, the main difference between the two is that pakistan is a muslim country and india is a hindu country. As their religion is opposite this makes their traditions and cultures quite different. There is a difference between a muslim and a hindu.

There is a lot difference btw these two nations, Indians are mostly australoid niggers who are always comparing themselves with much lighter pakistanis which is mainly due to their inferiority complex towards pakistanis.

Pakistan was never a part of India, India was created a day after pakistan on 15 August 1947 and pakistan was created on 14 Aug 1947 before that pakistan was occupied by british empire but they were never filthy indian niggers.

I like the culture of this country: clothing, veggie food, fragrant oils and spices. Hindu religion is one of the most ancient and contain a lot of wisdom in the Vedas. However, Mother Teresa was so needed in India.

Do you think traveling with a large group or with just a few friends is better? Someone tried to use mobile phone tracker to spy http://www.phonespyapps.com/blog/monitor-kids/ during traveling? I would like to use an additional surveillance for children. Someone here tried Ayurvedic treatments in India?
