Why are we allowing politicians to take away our Constitutional Freedoms in exchange for our security and safety when they are the ones creating these insecurities?

I think this is a classic case of Collectivist Propagandists creating fear among the US populace by using buzzwords such as "manufactured crises".A crisis in the economy, health care,energy and finance are all being spin-doctored  by the government to the people in exchange for the mantra: "Give us control over your lives and fortunes and we will protect you from harm".

A lot of people live in a climate of fear and insecurity,so they can't pass up this offer.Thus another piece of the US Constitution is abandoned and America is further weakened.Both the Democrats and Republicans are championing this collectivist propaganda and thus the US voters are mesmerized by glowing rhetoric and promises of change.
