The best thing about the 80's was that I had more hair and it was brown. I had three race cars and a Corvette. I had time to play guitar in a band with my friends and the economy was good.

I was young during the 1980's but remember a lot about the decade.

I think the best things about the eighties were:

Awesome films

There are so many good films from the 80's. The best feature of these films is that they are short and highly entertaining. My favorites are:

Ferris Bueller's Day Off

E.T

Ghostbuster

Shortcircuit

Back to the Future

Indiana Jones and the Temple of Doom

The Goonies

Teen Wolf

The Labyrinth

Never Ending Story

Top Gun

....The list is endless!

Pop hysteria

People don't seem to get as hysterical at concerts now as they did in the eighties. I remember people constantly fainting and having to be carried out of gigs that they had queued for days to get tickets for. I loved Michael Jackson, especially the Bad Album (do you know Wesley Snipes is in the video for Bad?) and I watched his musical film Moonwalker over and over. I also loved Kylie Minogue, Madonna and Cyndi Lauper. In the late 80's I liked REM and The Cure.

Things I did not enjoy about the 80's

Puff-ball skirts, shell suits, perms, shoulder-pads and power cuts.

I was born in 84, so I can just remember a few things about the very late 80s, like:

Thundercats

Count Duckula

Visionaires

Denver The Last Dinosaur

Sabre Rider

I have since gone on to become a real lover of 80s cartoons and music. I have a video folder with some of my fave classic cartoons in it and have lots of 80s playlists, featuring some of my favourite bands, like Adam and the Ants, Duran Duran, Spandau Ballet, Queen, Toto and Genesis.

I guess, technically, I'm a 90s kid, in as much as I can remember a lot more about 90s and the stuff I loved back then, but I've developed a bit of a craze for the 80s in my adulthood.
