Is it possible that technology could advance to the point to where you could bring someone back to life who had been dead for awhile? Obviously not when they start to decompose. *smile*

Well, they say "anything is possible..." but the thought of bringing someone back....? Dang Aru, what have you been thinking about ;D

I don't know how to answer your question, yes, technology is advancing but.... ??? Gah! If I died, I'd like to keep it that way..  >~<

Oh, I dunno about that. At my age I've started decomposing already, just getting ready to drop off the twig one of these days. It'd be nice if we could slow down that process.

We've already reached the point where many people who were clinically dead have been revived. Once they reach the point of no return, though, it would be a mistake even to try. Who'd want to be brought back if they'd been brain damaged?

It's happened in legend, of course. Jesus and Lazarus would be the best known story; but in real life it's not on.

I certainly wouldn't want to be brought back if I had been sick, or had problems.. but it'd be nice if it were possible. Maybe, perhaps? *smile* Terribly sorry but I am not religious, so I don't know what you are referring to, meaning the story.

There's a fable in the Bible about Jesus raising a guy called Lazarus from the dead. It's a pretty well-known story and Christians think it really happened.
And, to be honest, I wouldn't really want to be brought back at all. I've had a good run. I don't mind leaving the next generation to carry on. :)

Thank you very much for clarifying... I agree with you completely, I don't see a need to be brought back, even if I die right now and I'm only 16... I would just like to accept the fact that it was fate... *smile* Again, thank you for your well thought out answer.

Read "Life After Death Note..." That's all I think of. They brought people back to life.

Would someone really want that though? It happened in Is This A Zombie? Ayumu was murdered and then Lady Hellscythe (Eu) brought him back, and he was a zombie and now has to serve her...

That's an unfortunate life... At least, he got a second chance? Correct? If said magic existed, it'd surely be abused, hmm?

I believe it's possible, but people die for reasons. I think it's better to leave the dead dead, as much pain as that bring to family and friends of the dead person, it would bring more pain to the person being revived.

However, if they did not mean, or want, to die, it might be a good thing to revive them.

I get what you're saying, if that person had a terrible condition and they died from it, why bring them back so they can suffer all over again? It would be hard on the family. What if, that person was murdered and didn't want to die? I also think about women who die giving birth to save the baby, surely I would bring them back to life. I realize my reply is all over the place, terribly sorry.

That's okay. I get what you're saying, and I agree 100℅. I don't think I was clear enough, but that's kind of what I was getting at
