How would the United States be different if it was still part of Great Britain? Do you want to live in that world?

Oregon would still be part of Canada. But, the east coast of the US would go much further north. There are so many variables that it is impossible to figure out. Would Mexico own more of the south west? Would France still be in Louisiana? Would Russia still own Alaska? Its too hard this early in the morning.

Actually, I don't think it would be all that bad. Less racial tension, MUCH better gun laws and gun control and a more diverse society. My only concern would be what would happen to MLB and the NFL ! As long as we kept Baseball and American Football, I'd be fine with that ! Especially everyone having the same money and using the decimal system. But the Brits can keep their cars and I'm not driving on the other side of the road ! LOL

If there was never a Revolution ...

Alaska would still belong to Russia
Much of the midwest would belong to France
The southwest and California would belong to Spain ... Though Germany had colonies in Texas, as well.

**At least, up until WW1.  Without the USA in WW1 ... The borders of Europe would be different, as well.

I don't know ... I think there would have been shifting borders for a while, given the constant warfare between the European Powers. But nobody really cared about the midwest or west, during colonization.

The gold/silver discoveries of the 17th century would have probably led to a militarization of the North American continent. Maybe triggering a World War, even.

Surely there would be so much geographical changes but I wouldn't even think about it that how our country would look like if we still would be part of the Great Britain & I don't care what differences it would make!  Because we simply didn't wanted it & we don't want it. Our men, women, young men & people didn't died so later we imagine if we would want to live that world or not. I would never live that world. Our citizens stood strong for our country to become independent, to have our own government not to be controlled by someone else. To me, the red strips of our flag represent the blood that we lost as the price that we needed to pay to stand on our own. If today, U.S turns into hell & Great Britain offer us heaven. I'd stay into that hell. First in respect of those who died to make  this hell independent. Second because i belong to this hell. Third because good or bad, I love this hell anyway.

I love American independence

It'd be a disaster for Tinsel Town. All the cops would be unarmed and the bad guys would mostly have to depend on coshes and knives, so all the action movies would have lots less shooting.

.. The second amendment would no longer justify out-of-control gun laws.
.. Health care would be run along more humane guidelines.
.. Presidential authority would be subject to gubernatorial approval.
.. There would be a new social class of Knights and Ladies, and dames could really aspire to be Dames.

For the most part we have to get over this deceased thought that we are different. When in fact we are all shooting through space on the same ship together and no one is getting off. So we better damn site learn how to get along.
