I am over the Christmas questions, let's get back to Thanksgiving. What are you thankful for this year? I am thankful my brother is staying stateside and not deployed, and for my new furkid,

I am thankful for my health. I'm alive and I'm healthy.

I am thankful for my family. I have a wonderful family who are loving and supportive.

I am thankful for my animals. For Scarlett and Bella who always bring joy to my life, and Belle who understands when I cry in her fur.

I am thankful for my friends. I have a lot of people in my life who care and support me.

I am thankful for Blurtit. I have some very wonderful people on here that have been very kind to me. When things have been tough I know I can get support and answers here.

In light of world events I am yet again reminded that I am so very thankful for everything that I have.

We don't celebrate thanksgiving over here, and to be honest, I wouldn't, anyway. It's all about giving thanks to a God I firmly don't believe in.

The only thing my family does for thanksgiving is make cardamon bread, and I also don't believe in god, but I'm thankful for my health and that of my family and friends, my high grades, music, and that all my friends are happy now.  I'm also thankful for chocolate, and other things, but I'll cut my list short, otherwise I'll be going on forever.

No where does it say you have to believe in God to be thankful. I have a lot of friends who are atheist who still are thankful. You don't need to thank God.
