Do you still make a wish when you blow out your birthday candles?

I do. I wish that my century old lungs hang out until the end of the extinguishment.

Can't put that many candles on a single cake ! I would have to use one of the compressed air cleaners for my PC to blow them out !

Nope. No more candles for me, the house would burn down.

I have not had a birthday cake in a long time.  My mother bought me some some doughnuts and put a candle on it and said happy birthday one time

I would ...but I rarely have birthday cake because ----

A) my birthday is on New Year's Eve and cake would just soak up the alcohol I've consumed. 

B ) I don't really like cake.

3 ) I like pie more.

D) wine trumps cake .. And pie. 

At my age, I am pretty much over the cake and candle thing. We go out to eat at the river or beach and eat hot wings and drink beer instead.

Yes, I do. Every year I get a birthday cake and I put a few candles on it. No Happy Birthday song for me, thank you. I light them, make a huge wish and blow them out. Then I spend the rest of the week eating my cake. I do not put it on a plate, I take the whole thing and eat it with a fork, one slice at a time.

No, that would be selfish. The cost of the candles on my cake could feed a starving African village for a month.
