There's no one country where everyone is happier.  People are usually happy when they're at home .. No matter where that might be.

Looks like Denmark and Switzerland win out according to what I found. Didn't see the U.S. Or Great Britain on any of the lists.

I think Canada...we have strong beer, poutine, four distinct seasons,  strong beer, a hot Prime Minester who wants to legalize pot ... And strong beer :p and we're all very polite,  eh <--- okay that's a bit of a myth , strong beer :)

Like America, Australia is home to migrants from many countries so, although we may not always get to visit their homelands, it's easy to get a slant on the national personality (if such a thing exists) by looking at those of their people who emigrate.

On that basis, hands down, the happiest people I've ever met are the Filipinos. They're always smiling and laughing, and it's rare to find a  perennial grump.

They are mostly multilingual with Spanish, English and Tagalog being spoke in the Philippines, and their two main religions are Roman Catholicism and Chess. (Wesley So, one of the three giants of the current US chess team hails from the Philippines. I actually wrote an article about him when he was only 12.)

So the Filipinos get my vote although, of course, they may be as happy as they are simply because those I know personally all live in Australia. >:-D
