Is the Republicans shutting down the government again on Fri, Oct 1? I'm not understanding. Read several articles.

It's not just the Republicans , it's both parties that "could" shut the government down over what is to me a silly bill. Doesn't make a lot of sense to me.

I haven't a clue ! All this bickering over two states. Maybe they want another vacation? Just shows how much our government really cares about it's people and their needs.

No. A bill was passed last night to fund government through December. This happens more years than it doesn't. Having been a federal employee and being married to one, we often wondered at the end of September if we would be going to work on October 1.

They passed a stop gap bill last  night that goes on till the end of the year. Heaven forbid they close the government at Christmas, which they did once way back when this all started. The fools have yet to pass a formal budget all these years.
