Just when we thought the presidential election couldn't get any sillier, Trump's good buddy, Vlad Putin, wants to monitor the results to ensure fair play. Is he for real? (Check this America Today link: https://goo.gl/V3Vv7i)

He is just trying to help the US with their election and ensure that there is no rigging of the election. US should be happy that Russia is so concerned about elections.  LOL

I thought it was a lovely piece of stirring. Trust Putin to put his oar in when it will cause the most trouble. :)

He's more than welcome to ... Just as anybody else is.

Anybody can show up to our polling places and sit in on the process.

CNN - FOX basically the same as far as I am concerned. I'd rather watch BBC.

Thanks, Ancient. Appreciated. I don't know anything about CNN but have seen much slanted coverage from Fox.

You got that right. Garry Kasparov, world chess champion for decades, led a minor party in opposition a couple of elections back. If he hadn't had such a high profile he'd have disappeared altogether. As it was he was beaten up and arrested (though I think he was only kept overnight in the cells).

Mr Didge, I can only imagine how hard foriegn leaders are laughing at this campaign. Putin is screwing with the process, having a go at the American election process, and with some success it seems.

#Pitiful.

We need to teach more philosophy and logic in our education system, Didge.

Otherwise, a lot of people will think that what they want the most is not the best choice for what they need.

A more realistic approach to history wouldn't go astray either. Back in the 1940s the "history" I was taught in school was the British version. It didn't necessarily have a lot to do with reality.

LOL! Yea!!! Look who's trying to join the party!!! Probably Trump planning to send an invitation to his Chinese dudes abroad to come over as well and Chinese will turn the plane for a sec to pick Kim-Jong-un. A complete firework then! Isn't that right!

The officials, From FBI to DOD to our every single intelligent agencies and departments. They are responsible to keep that clown away out of our polls as well as border. They must be insane to allow this to happen.

It is getting like that. Still I watched an interesting documentary the other night where Jeremy Paxman travelled to America to see why things are the way they are. It seems that the population doesn't want either candidate as President. Some are only voting for Trump because they "see Hilary Clinton as the bigger monster and that if you've only got a crooked stick to hit it with, then you are going to use it."

I found this too, which was very interesting. The countries dissatisfaction is not a democrat or republican issue.

Didn't old Putin give America the Teardrop monument, as a gift in memory of 9/11? Still not sure if I'd be thankful for it, beauty is truly in the eye of the beholder.

It's a conundrum, all right. I think it can only be accepted as a genuine tribute. Anything else would demand its removal.
