Many Clintonites are holding on to the slim hope that Electors will ignore their voters and switch their votes to Clinton on December 19th, giving her the White House. What are the chances? What are your thoughts?

Personally, i am not happy with Donald Trump's election. But i believe we have to accept the result and move on. We would benefit more if we find unity and integrity within the country. Tension, stress and protest at this level is unnecessary in my perspective. People are acting way too emotional. Despite the very well known attitude of Mr.Trump i believe there is dark and light mixed together at this point.

The chances of a change is low. The result is out. A combination of popular vote and electoral vote brought the office down to Mr.Trump's feet. Maybe for the future and upcoming political polls, a change in the whole election system be required. Maybe an upgrade through the system be a good move.

There are plenty of constitutional rules regarding removing a presidency but there are no actual legal evidence that these piece of paragraphs of law could be performed and proceed.

This election been the most stressful tiring election of all time. Each candidate presented many negative factors carrying on their back which these titles created a battle in the society for picking up the better-worst. Let's not forget many did not bother to vote anyway.Trump been followed by many traits such as racism, sexism and his bitter-mouth of usual brutal personality. For those who do not support Trump. The best is to show love, grace, bring unity and try to communicate and understand the other half of the country and exercise the rights. For those who support Trump, if you are not racism or sexism, prove it. Together both sides as a nation. We must communicate, understand each other instead of profanity and questioning each other's intelligence and sabotaging. This is the only way to get through this period. Because you protest or not. Mr.President-elect is releasing his platforms. Plans and picking up his cabinet.

If California as sixth world's largest economy and a very important state to the United State is able make an impact following the heavy wave of protests and the consideration of the #Calexit referendum for becoming an independent country till 2019 ? We must wait and see! But i wouldn't think so.

The best thing we can do, to make sure as a nation, we won't have an election like this ever again.

I think now we need to focus on uniting and President-elect Trump has reached out to both sides which I think is very hopeful. It's time to unite.

@Rooster: I wouldn't hate it tho! Welcome to The United California! LOL!

@Corey: That's my point! we need to give him a try. earlier someone who is not either supporter of candidates said "people taking anything he says too personally" i am agree! even i don't completely like him for his uncontrollable mouth. but that doesn't mean to not give him a chance regarding many accusations against him stayed without an actual evidence. months ago i was reacting way too angry on him as well! my only problem is his bitter mouth. but today for now, i like some of his national security platforms. we should see how he puts them under effort. i support his better immigration control proposal and deportation of illegal immigrants.
Some people are using the phrase "The divide states" this is what would take us down. we need to say real "United States of America" we should represent the name!

The chances of that happening is only slightly worse then the survival of a snowball in hell. About half the country has been unhappy with the curren administration but had to move on with their lives. Now the shoe is on the other foot.  In life, sometimes you're the dog, and sometimes you're the hydrant .  Chances are, in 4 to 8 years things will take another swing.

I would say zero to none. From what I know, a few have switched votes but it's never switched the election. Besides, Hillary Clinton seems to have too much ground to make up for anyway. Good, keep that woman out of the White House!

According to what I read this morning ? There is a very slim chance she could win. I didn't think she would go down easily ! I think it's time to just shake hands and let it go. Would you have faith in a President that threw a fit and did everything she could to just bump Trump and become President? Doesn't sit very well with me. Poor loser.

I doubt it, unless some unscrupulous tampering with the votes comes to light, but presidencies have been known to be cut short in other ways, anything's possible, so if this hope keeps the forelorn going until they except the decision then so be it.

Trumps health at seventy is described as good, the only medication he takes is a lipid lowering agent used in treating cholesterol, and a daily aspirin.

Added later:  Many Americans will be fearing deportation just as they did in Britain, so their fears are very real for them. Also if Trump doesn't follow through with what he has promised there may be a backlash of a protest by the very people who voted him in, it is a game of wait and see.
