Evita Peron was the First lady of Argentina as she was the wife of President Juan Domingo Peron. Later in her life she developed uterine cancer and she passed away on July 26, 1952. She was 33 years old when she died. Her corpse was embalmed and the body was stored in her office for two years till the monument was being constructed. Before it could be completed, her husband was overthrown and his government ended and he fled the country in 1955. Her body was removed on the new dictator’s orders and it disappeared for 16 years from 155 till 1971. It had been buried in Milan. Italy. In 1971, her body was dug up and stored by her husband in his home in Spain. In 10973, he returned to Argentina. The body was finally buried at Duarte family tomb.
