Bill Clinton cut the welfare, put more police on the streets, built prisons, stepped up the war on drugs, expanded the death penalty, and balanced the budget. However, he was unable to get health insurance for all Americans, change the way we paid for political campaigns, or do much of anything for schools. The Clinton administration brought warring parties together and they agreed to stop killing each other. He also helped negotiate agreements between Israel and its Arab neighbors.

Bill Clinton signed into law the FMLA  which helped all gov't workers within the workplace. This is the Federal Medical Leave Act. Before this and let's say I had to have a surgery for something beyond my control or cancer or my dependent or parent becomes ill and I had to leave work for an extended time period, the manager may have fired me. With FLMA I am guaranteed 6 weeks and a safe job return. Of course, I have to use annual or sick or Leave without Pay.....but at least I have a JOB when the illness is finished.
He did many good things as President; but, more importantly, he could have done more. We had a thriving economy when he took the reigns and he could have continued the hard work of Reagan but instead, he was busy womanizing and getting USA involved in Bosnia.....a WAR that the media chose NOT to publicize.

A person as a President of United States is responsible for a great number of things and can accomplish a lot of things during his tenure. Bill Clinton was the 42nd president of United States. It is during his tenure that United States experienced the longest peace time expansion in the history of the country.

He was also involved in a sex scandal known as Monica Lewinsky scandal where it was revealed that Clinton had a short time sexual relationship with a twenty two year old intern in White House named Monica Lewinsky. This incident created a big furore and led to the investigation on this matter followed by the impeachment of the President but he was acquitted by the United States Senate and went on to complete his term as a President.
