What Is The Difference Between Community And Society?

A community is smaller than a society. It is part of the society. The whole world is one Society but a community can be defined by  a group of people or even animals that stay in the same community and share the same characteristics. African community is part of the world society for example.

When people live near each communicate with each other and have the same culture it is called a community. Society and community are not alike when different communities assamble they are called as a society. The word different communities is important. Tow or more same communities do not constitiue to a society.

Society refers not only to the group of people but to the complex pattern of the norms of interaction that arise among them while community is termed when the group live together and share no particular interest but the basic condition of common life.

When a number of people  lives together and having same characteristics like same backgrounds culture,belief,traditions,language,food,dress then it is a community.
Whereas, the different communities makes a Society !

Community is defined as the common location where the group of people interact around the common values and social cohesion. It generally refers to the larger social units as compared to the households. On the other hand, a society is the group of individuals or the living organisms belonging to a single species and have their cultural identity and social solidarity. After understanding the scope of community and society they can be differentiated. First of all community can be a local state and may include all organisms residing in a geographical location while society can be the whole world but only includes the human beings. Moreover, community can be while world like global community while the world is distributed in various societies.
