How Did Benjamin Franklin Die?
Franklin died from natural causes at the age of 84.

He's thought to have had something wrong with his lungs - possibly pneumonia - and had been bed-ridden for a while before he died. His condition was causing him a lot of pain, and he was given opium to help him to cope.

Around 20,000 people attended Franklin's funeral, and he was buried in Christ Church Burial Ground in Massachusetts.
