A seal is a Celtic symbol for happiness. To the Celtic people, the sea that surrounded their lands was a place of wonder and mystery. In Scottish folklore the seal-fairys, are seals that turn into young maidens when they emerge from the sea. The seal is thus regarded as a symbol for happiness.
