This time of year where I live we need shelter to keep from dying of hypothermia. Overall humans need shelter to protect themselves from the environment and other outside things which would bring harm to them.
Why Do We Need Shelter?
In order to survive usually from things that hunt humans and weather conditions.
Without it, you'd have to face Mother Nature. She's not always particularly pleasant.
