We live in a global village where every one has different biological and psychological traits. So to make sense of individual problems and to sort out ways  that how to deal them require the understanding of individuals. While on the other hand population is the group of people living in a particular place with definite traits. S as we know there are countless populations I the world which have their own habitat and way of living. To see their problems as a collection we need to understand populations.
