Well I was born in Amish and live there for 21 years , and find many disadvantages of being Amish , worse of the disadvantage is many of the amish people's spirit is dead . It was almost impossible to be yourself and don't get wounded badly by the Amish .

No obsessing over having the latest 'must have' gadgets, and no Justin Bieber! OTOH, if you are suddenly taken seriously ill, no fast transport to hospital, and of course you're stuck in a religious community.
