I can only give an english answer. These sort of things don't seem to directly affect ordinary people. When the UK had to devalue the pound in the 1960s the labour Prime Minister at the time,Harold Wilson famously said "it wont affect the pound in your wallet or purse"
It does filter down to us peasants in time. That credit agency was wrong really as their main purpose is to report on the chances of a government failing to pay their debts. We all know the US would never default,no more than Britain would.
