In 2008 over 12 billion dollars was grossed directly from marijuana sales at dispensaries in CA. If marijuana was legal to purchase and taxed the government could have made 1 billion dollars in just california alone! Thoughts? Comments?

Marijuana sales must be restricted in order to have control over the market.
For instance if they made a law tomorrow that made marijuana legal then the
Government will lose control and it would be impossible to tax.
Because Marijuana is ultimately a weed it grows anywhere in India it grows wild everywhere, and due to this fact why would anyone purchase it.
The whole reason that there are restrictions is to gain control and in this situation
it is controlling the market of marijuana sales.
