Last year my fiance and I traveled to Kentucky to teach a local tattoo shop to do suspension... There are pics of it on my homepage with my profile, but only look if you can tolerate blood and large needles.

I have never really liked Halloween, because I do not like to be scared, and as a Christian, we do not really celebrate it, although my kids go to the church fall party, in costumes, and come home with enough candy to last til next year!  I went to a haunted house when I was 9 yrs old, and was so scared I could not sleep alone for months.  I just do not like to be scared by creepy things jumping out at me.  Life is scary enough!  ha ha
But as for movies, I prefer the old horror movies like "The Fall of the House of Usher"  and "The Pit and the Pendulum" those Edgar Allen Poe classics.  ANd the movie "the birds!"  made me not like birds til this day!  I did see Halloween when it 1st came out in 1979, and my mom had to give me 2 Vailum just so I could sleep!  I am a big wimp I know.  But I like movies like Silence of the Lambs, and other psychological thrillers rather than horror flicks. I heard the Hostel movies were so violent and bloody that people were being taken to the E

Halloween's origins are Christian I thought. ANyway, I will have to watch some of the movies you have listed ( not the hostel movies, i don't dig that brutal shock value kind of gore).

The Fall of the House of Usher, is great- spooky creepy not terrifying. I do have a great story. My pastor( from when i was young) and his teen aged son, put on creepy looking masks, and old creepy looking clothes and went out to church member's homes trick or treating. They would ring the bell and not say one single word to the home owner- just stare in a creepy way and hold out brown paper bags for candy. THey would keep holding out the bag so the person would keep giving them more candy. Never saying one word. THen they would turn and leave. Then crack up in the car! THe people would be really spooked to have these 2 creepy tall men come to their door and just stare, not saying a word. The next Sunday, they came clean about it. You'd never think a grown up mature and humble pastor like him would do such a funny thing!
