Sosten Gwengwe is a Malawian politician and holds the post of Minister for Trade and Industry. He took up this post in December 2012 under President Joyce Banda, who is a member of the People’s Party.
The higher qualification of Sosten Gwengwe
Mr. Gwengwe was born on May 20, 1977 and joined the People’s Party after President Mutharika died.
He completed his high schooling in Dedza at Umbwi and went on to complete a Bachelor of Accountancy degree through the Polytechnic of the University of Malawi in 1999.
He later went on to further his studies and completed an MBA in Finance through Oxford Brokers University in the UK in 2003.
He is currently a chartered accountant with the CIMA, or Chartered Institute of Management Accountant. Between the years 2005 and 2008, Mr. Gwengwe taught at colleges throughout London.
