World Vision India has lots of ways by which a child can be helped; you can sponsor a child or donate money online. It also has provisions for real gifts and gift catalogue. There are also programs going on to rescue a child or to make a difference by donating money. Thus there are plenty of ways to help a child of India.

You can go to India with a supply of food and clothes and money (not too much) and pick a family which you think suffered most and give them the items you've brought and you might just die being a sincere angel. O:)

If you're Indian then just those poor begging children you see by the road then just give them money and get them to an orphanage or hand them over to an organisation that is for such children. If you're not an Indian then donate money or join those organisations which are for poor children and so you can be one of their life changers :)
