I've heard that you can't take midnight walks in America because it's dangerous? What! I live for midnight walks how do you survive?

Not really, America is a HUGE country. It just depends on where you live and the types of danger will also be different. Where I live people go jogging in pitch darkness past 12 am all the time, especially around this time during the summer.

If you're walking in lets say Bakersfield, you're more likely to get driven over by a drunk person than getting mugged. If you're walking in San Luis Obispo at midnight you'll probably die from being stabbed in the foot by seashells. If you're walking in Santa Cruz, you'll probably die by getting eaten by a mountain lion. Etc.. Etc..

Well America is a dangerous country, so I can see why some people wouldn't want to take midnight walks there, but if you live for that kind of stuff, there is no rule saying you can't. Just be careful.

I think that shows how intelligent we are, rather than how dangerous our country is. Anything can happen at midnight, because most people are asleep around that time. Regardless, I wouldn't take a midnight stroll simply because it's dark, and there may be dangerous or disease infested animals out there.

Not totally true. I won't sugar coat this but there are places in the world that are not too safe to walk thru after dark but this does NOT mean everywhere so it all depends on where you are as some places are definitely worse than others  Check before doing so
