No, God can't call all the shots. He can influence you to make the right decisions and guide you along the way, but he cant control all situations and all people. Some things are out of his control and death cannot be predicted or set. I've known some great Christian people who had the potential to do great things and were taken too soon.

You just never know and thats why you should live everyday to the fullest and never go to sleep mad or holding a grudge. Guilt is a b*tch for good people.

I used to believe that when I was younger but no I don't think we do. If that was the case, we would be unkillable until that set day. I don't believe there is a set day.

Suppose your set death day is when you're 41 years old. If you ended up ending your life early, I would think that would create a huge time paradox because anything that would've happened after would not have happened.

A pretty grim thought you have there, but my dad used to say when your number is up your number is up.
Only case I know of a set day to die would be applying to those on death row -  you'd be told the day you will die on. Might not get much warning, but nowadays you'd be told ahead of time.

Another question might be do we all have a set day to live on, a best day of one's life?
