George Orwell's dictum still holds true, and will never change. "All the animals on the farm are equal and some are more equal than others."

In an episode of the BBC crime series, Lewis, a university student was running tours of the Isis River at Oxford in which she claimed a crocodile had been sighted. An American tourist said, "I don't believe a word of that, young lady." She replied, "Do you believe that that all men are created equal, that they have the unalienable right to Life, Liberty and
the pursuit of Happiness?"

"With all my heart," he declared, placing his hand on his chest.

"It's easier to believe there's a crocodile in the Isis," she said.

Money and privilege will always make their own rules.

I wish you could mention which aspect we talking about here.

Equal right in what ? Between genders ? Or humans in general, in a particular place or the whole human race ?

What i wanna say is the "Equality" topic is really varied & wide or maybe at least i see it that way.

No, there's not much of equal rights, there's so many injustice & inequality happen all around the world. There's a billion of examples unfortunately.

But if we wanna say there's no equal right. Because someone has amount of money that we don't. This has nothing to do with inequality. You mean i shouldn't live my life & earn so much money or run big business cause it's inequality? Nope it's not, i'd work hard for my life & i will earn as much as i can. Others feel free to do something about their lives as well.

I just wanna say we need to really make sure what lines we counting as "Equal rights" some people mix everything up.

I left the question open in the hopes that some people would talk about equality between genders, some would talk about equality between races, some would talk about equality between religions ect. so it's up to you what you want to say :)

Nice answer though, thanks :)

I understand, it's a nice perspective to look at, but since i'm a very exact person! when i red your questions ! all the topics related to equal rights came along right into my mind & i was like what should i say! ? if i explain about everything in my mind, it might turn boring to you & everyone else! specially you, cause i wouldn't be sure which aspect you're willing to discuss. i can say my mind gave "Stopped working" error! for few seconds lol! thanks anyway :) & sure anytime :)

Under the law in the US you do, but getting people to act that way is a different matter entirely. There are people who are going to judge others no matter what any law says. There are also that are going to bind themselves to being a lesser person because they have been taught everyone is prejudice. Then there are other places on Earth that do not believe in equality.

No we could never have equal rights as long as people are making the decision as to what is equal.  Only God could do that and enforce equal rights for people all over the world. This he has promise to do by removing all traces of wickedness from the earth. " For evil men wil be done away with but those hoping in Jehovah  will possess the earth."  Psalms 37:9-11

In America, I feel like our rights are just about the same, whether you're male, female, black, white, etc.

However, I do admit there is discrimination and prejudice facing every group (yes, whites included). Because of this, people fight to eliminate the double standards that their group faces. Unfortunately, many of them have no problem holding another group to different standards.

(I've known plenty of blacks in my life that were against racism, but they treated me as lesser of a person because I was white. People that are racist like this can't stand suffering discrimination but have no problem with discriminating someone else.)
