Just putting the question out there & using freedom of speech. I know several gay couples & they struggle with no female or mummy figure in the child's life. Also as a Psychologist I like analysing people's thoughts.

Wow, your jumping the gun there. It was a question not a personal attack on Homosexuals!

I see gay couples with children all the time & have several gay friends with kids but never have I seen a struggle as you say with no mother figure.

Unfortunately these struggles largely appear at home out of public view & are not discussed publicly. Never judge a book by it's cover.

Yes, being loved is something a child needs the most so it doesn't matter who gives it to them. I see happy, loving, kind, well adjusted kids in homes with same sex parents so what else matters.

Of course. Any one or couple that has the capacity to love and the means to care for a child should be allowed to adopt. I do think in the US the process needs to be redone on a whole There are many people adopting from outside the US because it is cheaper and easier. To me that makes no sense. How can traveling halfway across the world and dealing with foreign governments be cheaper and easier? Because of this many loving families don't adopt. And I have nothing against adopting from other places, I just think it shouldn't be easier than adopting from your home country.

I don't know how the adoption process is in the USA but here in Australia it is a slow painful & expensive process. I can see why other people go overseas to adopt.

I have read stories of people who have spent 4 years or more and over $60,000 to adopt with in the US. Others have gone to other places and spent $20,000 and that incudes the airfare and hotel stays for 2 or 3 trips.
