That doesn't surprise me, and I think it's disgusting that our government isn't taking care of our soldiers 100% there should be no need for any type of "projects" for our soldiers.....they should be well taken care of and want for nothing.

The Wounded Warrior Project has gone the route of the Susan G. Komen Foundation. They start diverting funds to big paychecks, and worse, lavish "meetings" in exotic locales. According to the charity's tax forms, spending on conferences and
meetings went from $1.7 million in 2010, to $26 million in 2014. That's a ton of money that could have and should have been spent on helping our vets. We Americans are suckers for sad commercials and start sending money to "charities" without any investigation at all.

The entire staff in a children's hospital is full of special people that care not just for the kids but their parents and siblings as well. You have to be a special person to deal with sick kids.

Actually 60% is a high percentage compared to most non-profits. There are operating costs (building rent, utilities transportation and such), employee wages office equipment, and supplies that need to be paid (just to name a few). In anything there are going to be expenditures that take away from the final monies directed to the recipients. I'm actually surprised that 60% makes it through the actual program.
