If a guy was born in Iowa but he moved to Tennessee and was raised there would he rather be from Iowa or Tennessee since Iowa is his native place?
It doesn't matter where he would rather be from - he was born in Iowa, therefore he is from Iowa, no matter where he has moved or where he may move in the future.
