Why would Putin and Russia continue to build the Borei class submarines? They are supposed to have a few operational now. They are Boomers with massive nuclear strike power. Why would they need that?

Why not?  Ameirica having nuclear superiority is dangerous lets even the odds. And russia was always big on subs

Yes, but we have mothballed all of our nuclear strike subs along with other countries. Putin is pushing his luck!

Putin reminds Otis of Reagan, but he reminds me of Stalin. He shows all the signs of wanting to return to the bad old days of the USSR and the cold war. A show of military strength is part of that.

That's why the November election is so important. You need somebody in 1600 PA who is strong enough to draw the line, and intelligent enough to do it with diplomacy.

For that reason I think that Hilary Clinton would be useless and Donald Trump would be even worse. This is a bad time for the US to be rolling out B-grade candidates for the presidential race.
