I have no ideas how it affected the United States ... But it brought about one of my favorite songs and the first song I ever sang infront of people while my uncle was playing gutiar ... I'm so awesome at making major world events all about me ::p it's my memory though and I like it :) also my uncle Dave was and is awesome at the whistle part :)
