The vet gave the medal as a show of support for The Donald. He felt honored to give away a medal that he earned. It's just his way of supporting Trump. There is no negativity for the vet, the recipient of his medal is his choice.
Is Trump deserving of the medal? The vet thought so and I support his decision to give it away.
I know it's his to give, too bad he didn't give it to a true American Hero.

It was the gentleman's to give away. He earned it. As for Trump, he was less then gracious in his acceptance, and IMO he did not understand the honor that was being bestowed on him. Otherwise he wouldn't have joked about getting a purple heart.
