-Generalization is never a suit attempt.

-Majority of every society are living peacefully but racism can be found everywhere and anywhere on this planet here and there.

Don't focus on these titles. Don't guard your brain too much with these kind of thoughts. Behave. Try to know highest values in Japanese culture. Be polite and open to learn and don't criticize them because of what they offer, do or say.  This is their culture! You don't have to be there ! If you are there you must respect how they live their lives! Many make this mistake! You don't!

You'll fit right in. Absolutely don't try to smuggle out any type of drugs, cash, food, animals, women or men.

Educate yourself on Japanese culture and be polite. Stay in well lit public places.

No more than any other culture of people.

Just be polite, and follow the customs, like saying thank-you (arigatou gozaimashita- ありがとうございました) and let's eat (itadakimasu- いただきます)

Just be polite and respectful of Japanese culture. Don't assume things. Many Japanese people are incredibly nice and accepting of tourists and foreigners, so don't worry!

As with any group of people you cannot lump them all together. Are there some racist Japanese people? Yes. Are the majority of the racist? No. They are generally a society that stands on tradition. So be sure to learn the proper societal protocols before going. Also if you are American do not go over there boasting that the US is the best country. I am not saying not to be proud your are American, just don't go overboard about it. There are quite a few people who have not forgiven the US for dropping atomic bombs on their country.
