Any suggestions for a food I can bring to a Halloween party? The drive to get there is about 40 minutes, so transporting something that has to stay hot is probably not a good idea.

You could make a kitty litter cake. My wife made one for a halloween party once and it tastes better than it looks. You're better off buying a new litter box and scoop.

I love this salad for just your circumstances. Leave out the chicken or keep chicken in little lunch bag on ice. Toss chicken in just before serving. Dress salad early so that the spices meld and noodles have time to soften. This is one of my favorite recipes. This isn't my recipe that I use, but this one is very close. It's a hit every time I make it. Without chicken it keeps well on a potluck table and travels easily, and if you have leftovers is even better the next day.

I've always thought a nice Pumpkin Pie and a can of Whipped cream can add to this season's festivities . . . They might even have a pumpkin shaped cake pan you can cook it in . . .
