Is today your day? It is August 28th National Power Rangers Day, National Bow Tie Day, National Cherry Turnovers Day and Rainbow Bridge Remembrance Day.

A researcher tested the neck pressure on men who were wearing ties. He deemed that ties can cut off the circulation to men's brains.

True.. .its both sad and beautiful remembrance day for pet owners.

Power Rangers and bowties are not my thing. A cherry turnover sounds great, but will have to pass as I am trying to lose weight. (Down 8 lbs in 3 weeks!)

As for Rainbow Bridge Remembrance Day,  I  was just looking at pictures of my first two boxers. I miss them both and could take them anywhere, and they did get go go many places, as my husband was active duty in those days. Here is picture of Star (L) and Thor (R). (Some of you old Ask members may remember Thor.)

I'm gonna have to glue my lips shut... Cherry turnovers are my biggest weakness right now. If I had one (a box) in front of me I'd eat it right now. Oh I want one so bad now. Grrrrrrr. Why oh why does it have to be cherry turnover day today!?!?!

I'll take the whole package.  I smile when I remember how thrilled my daughter was many years ago when I took her to meet the Power Rangers.  I love cherry turnovers.  And who hasn't had a poignant experience at the Rainbow Bridge?  It's all good.  :)

I find it sad that my friend put his beloved cat to sleep on Rainbow bridge day. His cat was 17.

RIP Lucky cat. You are loved.
