Well, there's qualitative and quantitative. Qualitative means it's a quality you observe through the senses, like it's yellow, warm, tall, stinky or bumpy. Quantitative would mean things that are measurable according to others' recordings, like it's 3.2 cm long or it weighs 15 grams.

You can apply some generic hydro cortisone cream, but if you don't have any on hand mix a palm full of baking soda with about a table spoon of water. You can spread this around the area to relieve some burning and itching.
