Do Junior College Students Continue To Receive Social Security Benefits With The Death Of A Parent?

Yes, as long as they have not yet reached the age of 21; because legally that's when the social security would stop. If they have not reached this age, they would earn a check each month that was normally paid to their deceased parent providing they qualified for the social security benefit. If so, It would be awarded each month to the child who was the junior college student.

My daughter is receiving SSI checks and will be graduating from High School this year. How do you file for the grant for my daughter to continue receiving ssi benefits for college?

Social security benefits continue as long as you are attending school including college....the best to you

Why can a parent get disability and the child not if the parent was suppose to be paying child support
