Hi! You can use different sizes of small boxes. Place them on a side table at different intervals. Cover them with the cotton backing used for quilting. (Walmart sells it cheap) This makes it look like snow. You have to puff it up and push it around the boxes to make it look like a landscape....Then, add trees, people, your houses, you can even get a small flat mirror an put people with ice skates on it. It looks like an outdoor rink! Add benches around it! There are light posts, so many things......Collect on!!!!!!

I actually started my village when a family member of mine bought me a Le max Village piece as a gift one Christmas. We are probably talking about maybe 15 years ago. I believe the piece was the Gingerbread Palace from Santa's Wonderland Village Collection. I absolutely loved the piece and have been collecting Le max piece by piece each yea since. I used to buy quite a few pieces each year for the Holiday season, but in the past few years I have been running a little low on space to display everything so I have limited myself to 1 piece per year. I purchased a lot of my stuff from different websites but I have been buying it from this one place for the past maybe 6 years, and I just think they are wonderful. So you should check them out if you are really interested in starting your very own village.

Find some nice fabric to put underneath, and arrange them tastefully. Add little trees and cotton balls or something. Just be creative! And use your imagination!
