What Did They Do For Entertainment In The Southern Colonies?

They played jump rope, marbles, hide and seek, they took a hoop and tried to roll it with a stick, bobbing for apples, corn chucking contests to get all of the corn off the field(work), quilted bees to make quilts, girls made dolls out of corn husks, boys made toys out of carved wood and they had shooting contests and foot races.

In the southern colonies they played a game called schooters which involved drawing a circle in the dirt and using rocks to knock other rocks out of the circle. This was a game very similar to marbles.

Although time were busy, that also had time to make up games to play with their spare time.
