Federative Republic of Brazil  Brazil is a democratic Federative Republic, with a government system pretty much alike the United Stated. We have a duly elected President, which is head of the Executive branch. We have a House of Representatives called "Camara dos Deputados Federais", we have a Senate called "Senado Federal", which constitutes the Legislative branch and the Judicial branch called "Supremo Tribunal Federal", pretty much like the U.S. Supreme Court. All Representatives have a 4-year mandate and can be re-elected by the will of people. The senators have an 8-year mandate and can also be re-elected by the will of people. The president has a 4-year mandate and, since 1994, is entitled to re-election for 4 more years.
