During the Industrial Revolution, there were a lot of developments and innovation in technology and new methods. Watermills, steam engines powered by coal, and blast furnaces were designed and there was also Agricultural Revolution providing better and easier method for farmers. The number of factories and industries in the cities also started increasing.

As a result of all these developments there were many social, economic and cultural changes. Due to the agricultural revolution, people started moving towards urban areas and the capitalist system started in Europe which brought power to the common people.

The views and thinking of the people started changing because they had relatively more power and better access to resources. It was this empowerment of the people that led to democracy and socialism.
