The scary things - will Egypt descend into the same sort of state as Iran?

Will the long-standing peace accord with Israel survive his departure?

Will the people be satisfied with his replacement, or are we likely to see a period of anarchy?

Given that the police are universally hated (and have had to withdraw) what is the future for maintaining law and order in the street. (Incidentally, a policeman tried to sell me marijuana on my last trip there)

What will happen to my friends holiday home in Hurghada? (OK that one is not that serious - except for her).

The actions of the past don't indicate that anything will be better there.

Hi Ray, nothing specific, just the news, year after year.

Not if they allow the muslims/brotherhood/taliban too come into any type of power in their government or local authority or even vote in their newly won freedom.
