I will definitely start to rebuild civilization.  When something like that happens then everybody that are still a life and well will have nothing so we will have to live in caves for a while, while we are busy rebuilding our nation. It will definitely not be the same as we have now because thats why the world was partially destroyed in the first place.  So I will change some things.  Try to right the wrongs that was made the first time round and rebuild a bigger and more powerful nation.

It is terrifying and shocking but were it to happen...I think you would fall in and be strong enough to encourage others that things will get better,if only for your belief that it will.

I would try to rebuild at least some semblance of a civilization. However, I don't think partial global devastation would send us back to the stone age.  The dark ages, maybe.  And even with trying to rebuild some sort of civilization, and with other people trying to rebuild society, I think we would end up with competing barbaric tribes, or as Jericho shows, competing city states even though some kind of centralized government tries to restore order.

The things I speak of have no government trying to civilize the world, what I speak of is partial yes but to the ends of total devastation, which means caveman times, where shelter is at best in the inside of a cavern and not houses or apartments, there would be none.

Well, I still have a hard time imaging that if something so horrendous happened that there would not be any trees left alive that any human would be left alive either. If there are trees alive, people--especially a group of people--would figure out someway to cut those trees down in order to build new houses.

I'm with spyro. This goes along with isolation. Can you imagine being the last person alive ?  terrible thought, at least for me.

handling the last person on earth is terrifying in itself,no one to talk to or see or hear no companionship is hard enough, but if you look at it,you can be lonely even with someone being there twenty-four hours of the day.
